SUGA International Receives “BOCHK Corporate Low-Carbon Environmental Leadership Awards 2024” Certificate and Two Environmental Recognitions

Suga Technology (Dongguan) Co., Ltd., under SUGA International Holdings Limited (“SUGA” or the “Group”) (stock code: 912), a leading electronics total solutions provider who also operates a smart pet accessories and pet food business, has received late August the “BOCHK Corporate Low-Carbon Environmental Leadership Awards 2024” certificate and two environmental recognitions, namely “EcoPartner” and “5 Years+ EcoPioneer”.

Dr. Alfred Ng, CEO of SUGA and Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, said, “We are honoured to receive the award certificate and environmental recognitions. These accolades stand as proof as well as acknowledgement of our environmental protection efforts. At the awards presentation ceremony, Dr. Alfred Ng presented the “Belt and Road Environmental Leadership Recognition Award”, “Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area Environmental Leadership Recognition Award”, and “Outstanding Sustainability Corporate Award” to winning companies commending them for their outstanding contribution to environmental protection and development.

Organised by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries and sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong) since 2015, the “BOCHK Corporate Low-Carbon Environmental Leadership Awards” aims to promote active participation in environmentally conscious practices among manufacturing, services and property management enterprises in Hong Kong and the Pan-Pearl River Delta region to help reduce environmental pollution in those areas. In 2024, a record high of more than 960 companies participated in the Awards, including 406 first-time entrants. Collectively, the participants completed over 2,300 green projects, saving more than 500 million kWh of electricity and more than 11 million cubic metres of water, plus achieved a reduction in waste disposal by over 3.32 million tonnes, and recycled over 240,000 metric tons of resources, and trimmed exhaust emissions by two million metric tons.
